Friday · Between ʿAṣr and Maghrib

The Fading Hour

Twenty supplications for the last light of Jumuʿah, and what each one is really asking for.

On Friday there is an hour in which no Muslim servant stands in prayer asking Allah for something except that He gives it to him — and the Prophet ﷺ indicated with his hand that it is brief. Many of the Companions and later scholars, including Ibn al-Qayyim, held it to be the final stretch of the day, after ʿAṣr, until the sun sets. Bukhārī & Muslim · Abū Dāwūd & an-Nasā'ī
